Service Manager in Newham

Hello and a very warm welcome, 

I’m Shrishti, the Service Manager here at Newham Build on Belief. It's a real privilege to lead this service, and I'm so glad you've found your way to us. Helping people is at the very heart of who I am.

Over the years, I've had the honour of walking alongside people through some of the most challenging moments of their lives, supporting those facing substance use, mental health difficulties, trauma, homelessness, and crisis , and every single person I've met has taught me something about courage, resilience, and hope. 

My experience spans acute mental health, neurological rehabilitation, trauma-informed community work, and clinical psychotherapy, and I bring with me a strong commitment to compassionate, person-centred care. What sets my approach apart is the genuine belief that no one is ever beyond support, and that real change happens when people feel truly seen, heard, and valued.

My strengths lie in building trust quickly, listening without judgement, and creating warm, safe spaces where people feel free to be themselves, exactly as they are. I lead with empathy, dedication, and a deep love for this work, and I feel incredibly lucky to do what I do.

Outside of work, I love to cook; there's something wonderful about bringing people together over good food, which is probably why I feel so at home in a community like ours.
