Head of Finance and Central Operations

Before I had the opportunity to move to London in 2016, I was part of an amazing team working in a bank in Germany for over seven years. I loved combining my organisational and financial skills with my passion for working closely with people from all different backgrounds. Alongside my full-time role, I also studied at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management — an unforgettable experience shared with a brilliant group of people.

During my first years in London, I decided to change my career path and began volunteering for Greenpeace, Save the Children, and later Build on Belief (BoB). I was searching for meaningful work that aligned with my values, and within BoB I found exactly that.

Being involved in the services, speaking with service users and volunteers, listening to their stories and sharing my own, made me realise how important it is to feel accepted and able to be yourself without judgement.

In 2019, I started my full-time role at BoB, initially supporting our CEO. Later, as Organisation and Business Development Manager, I created BoB’s seven-days-a-week Online Programme, trained and supported our staff team through new processes, and helped further develop BoB’s services.

My current role is Head of Finance and Central Operations, which I believe is where my skill set truly lies. Bringing together my financial and organisational background with my people skills, speaking two languages, living abroad, understanding cultural differences, and having the opportunity to work in such an inclusive environment has been exactly what I was looking for — both professionally and personally.

The work we do gives us real purpose. It matters, keeps us grounded and grateful, and helps put life into perspective.
