I’m a big football fan, and my hobbies include films, gaming, photography, and writing songs!

After leaving a job because my anxiety and depression had reached breaking point, I struggled to leave the house and function socially.
I tried different types of counselling, but I had become addicted to drugs and alcohol. Unfortunately, I found it hard to get help, as many services wouldn’t support someone still under the influence.

Then I found CGL. With their amazing help, I started to get my life back on track through their support and by volunteering with them. This led me to discover Build on Belief and how they support people at any stage of recovery. I quickly decided that volunteering with Build on Belief would be a great way to support others and help people like me.

I was later pleased to get a job as a Support Worker, and I love working with people who are struggling with addiction, supporting them through their recovery.
