Hello, my name is Brenda Rhule and I am a mental health nurse with 45 years’ experience, mainly within the NHS in senior roles. I am semi-retired, and for the past four years I have been self-employed as a mental health practitioner working in GP practices. I am currently working with a homelessness project; many of my client group use substances that significantly impact their mental health. I am a strong believer in parity of access to mental health services and in DEI.

I live and work in Derby and am committed to the role of Trustee with BoB. I am also a Trustee with Derby Community Action. I’m a great believer in the power of volunteering and was a volunteer at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games, which was a great and humbling experience.

In my spare time, I enjoy travelling, reading, and fitness.
